Yoe Apolinario was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She moved to Los Angeles in 2015 to pursuer a career as a professional dancer. Upon her arrival, she made it to the television show “So You Think You can Dance.” After the show, she began her career in the industry. She booked commercial work with companies like Sprint, Hyper Volt, and Cricket. Since then she’s had the opportunity to work for artists like Taylor Swift, Chris Brown, Kehlani, Cardi B, Meg the Stallion, Usher and many more.
During the 2020 pandemic, Yoe reconnected with one of her first passions, writing. Her life experiences transformed her thoughts to words and gave birth to her first book Café Con Leche. The story walks readers through Yoe’s upbringing, unaware that she was half Black. She discusses anti-blackness in Latino culture and coming into her own skin.
